DESPOTIC

Genre(s): Thrash Metal

Formed in Florianópolis - SC, 2000. Influenced by several bands of Heavy Metal , Hard Rock and Thrash , friends Felippe Chiella ( b ) and Thiago Rocha ( g ) decided to play together a few songs from bands they liked as a hobby, a joke . This goes back to 1997 . Since then , the game was getting serious , taking air bandwidth and leveraging higher aspirations , albeit facing several lineup changes , choice of numerous names and difficulties of all kinds. At the end of 1999 , met Alexandre Sell ( d ) and soon became friends. Alexander took over as drummer shortly thereafter , and the band continued with their routine testing , now with renewed strength. In the first month of 2000, the band knows the guitarist Julian " juca " Beaumle , who would join the band until the end of the same year . Joey brought the thrash vein to the group , which at that time ruled by despotic name , suggested by Felippe ( b ) . The Despotic then begins to create the first compositions and testing harder. With the departure of Julian the band is depleted , but early in 2001 finds a replacement : Alexandre Schneider ( g ) , long-time friend of Alexander Sell ( d ) was invited to join the group in February and brought melodic and technical influences the sound of the band , a fact that was reflected in the compositions logo . The first half of 2001 worked as a stage of adaptation to the new situation resulting in the formation of more stable Despotic today. The second half of 2001 was the time of greatest advancement of the group , where some songs were finished and refined technique and sound of the band . The friendship between the musicians in the band remains active , now looking for a vocalist . Several tests were conducted, some tests and many failed attempts crossed the path of the group , disrupting their plans. In 2002 however, the strong desire to perform live leads the band to contact Alexei Leão , vocalist of the band Heptafy Santa Catarina , to take over the vocals on an interim basis . Alexei led the band on their stage debut floripa , which occurred in May 2002 . The Despotic received a great reception from the audience, which boosted keep working hard . The second half was tapped to compose new material during this period and acquiesced to search for a fixed vocalist. In November, the band decided to enter the studio to record their first record , the demo - cd "Let the Madness Begin " . Containing two own songs and vocals recorded by Alexei Leão , was released in April 2003 . With the release of the CD was agreed that Alexei would join the band permanently , allowing the scheduling of several shows in the state of Santa Catarina to publicize their work . To finally complete line-up the band has received several positive reviews about his work , being nominated for " Featured Edition " of Roadie Crew # 54 in Garage Demos , a great critical section in Rock Brigade # 206 and several reviews in zines in country and abroad. Unfortunately the band broke up and ended its activities in late 2003 for professional reasons . Thiago Felippe and began to devote himself to the band Blakk Market , with Fernando Melleu on vocals and Marlon Sens on drums .
