ARUM

Formed in São Paulo, São Paulo - 1998. Formed in the early 90’s under the name Grunks, the band released few demo tapes and some compilations, until in the year 2000 the band changed the name to ARUM, due the new musical direction and lyrical ideology. In 2001 is released the band debut album “Fierce Everlasting Tempest” through the independent brazilian label “Demise Records.” After some lineup changes, in 2002 is released the EP Hellish Spells, wich lead the band to sign with the US label Killzone Records for the release of the second album, “Inhuman Echoes from the Shadows” in 2004. In 2006 the band hit the road, and flew to Europe to their first international tour with Aeternus, Darkshine and Devilish Impressions, and as the opening act for the Rotting Christ Brazilian tour, and released another EP called “Prelude to a Cataclysm”. In 2008 is released the album "Occult Cataclysm - The New Era Rises”, through Negativity Records (US), after this the band decided for a quick break to develop some side projects until early 2010, when the band got back to the rehearsal room, with a new lineup, to write the upcoming album, to be released in the beginning of 2011.
