ANGEL HEART

Genre(s): Hard Rock

Formed in São Paulo - 1991. Formed in July of 1991, Angel Heart have gone through a few line-up changes until they finally set it up with: Gustavo Monsanto (vocals/songwriting), Rafael Kronemberger (guitars), Rodrigo Figueiredo (bass) and Felipe Haubrich (drums). This line-up recorded "Welcome...", the band's debut album which was recorded during 1994, but released in the middle of 1995.. This was after recording a few demo-tapes and having performed a lot of shows across the country. Some of the highlights of the band's career were some festival where they played to big crowds up to 6.000 people. The band also won a contest among 400 other participants and recorded its song "Big Love"for the "Extra'n'Roll"festival compilation CD. Lots of metal magazines all over the country praised the CD, such as Rock Brigade, Dynamite, Rock'n'Rolling, etc. The band was featured on lots of articles and word spread quickly about the band, which received tons of fan mail. "Welcome..." had a lot of guests, such as Bozó, lead singer of Overdose and other friends of the band, who jammed with Angel Heart during the band's debut recording, which was produced by Gaugin, of Sepultura, Overdose, Skank and Sargent Peppers'fame. But, a few problems plagued the band after the CD was released and "Big Love"video was shown on MTV Brazil: Leandro Rabelais stepped in as the new bass player and the band broke its ties to Tarot Records, which had ripped off the band in a big way. The band resurfaced stronger than ever, had the honor of jamming with world renowned band Angra and playing a few more packed gigs . Angel Heart now expects to find a new record company to release its upcoming album (which is already on the pre-production stages) and keep on its way to the top.
